2010 Holiday Cards!

I am venturing into pre-designed holiday cards this year instead of customizing each individual card order. I figure people probably will do best with visualizing the card in the first place, and then can customize their colors or text based on what they want. So, here are the details on the pricing of the cards!

Colors, fonts, & text are fully customizable.
$30 (plus sales tax) per pack of 25 cards w/envelopes. Shipping is $7 per order, not per pack
Standard & Linen papers are included, and Pearl paper is an additional $5 per pack
Either 5X5 or 5X7 flat cards, printed on both the front & back

Schedule update!

It’s that time of year again! Fall family photos are right around the corner, which means there is a mad dash to get on the schedule. Now that my apple orchard mini-sessions are full for the 23rd of September, I will be announcing my full fall mini-session schedule tomorrow morning. As of right now, there will be 4 dates and potentially 4 different locations. All of these mini-sessions will require a $25 retainer to hold your spot. In addition, if you are NOT interested in booking a mini-session this fall, and would rather have more time with me for a Family Photo Session or a Milestone Session (or another one of my packages, senior, newborn, etc.), please contact me ASAP to get on the schedule.

As of right now, I have very limited openings left in August. I do still have some openings for my studio mini-sessions the morning of August 20th, however in terms of my longer sessions, I don’t have much left. September isn’t as limited quite yet, however I will only take on 3-4 more sessions. I have two weddings in October and the majority of my mini-sessions, so I will be trying to not take on as many full sessions as to maintain my sanity. Therefore, like I said above, if you know you want a longer session, please contact me to get on the calendar.

Finally, in order to get more people to “Like” Live and Love Studios, I’m going to be holding a Cutest Baby & Kid Contest. I’m going to be posting rules and submission details tomorrow morning as well. You had better be at your computer tomorrow morning, since there is lots going on!!

Vacation time!

For the first time in a loooooooong time, I am caught up with my work! Whoo hoo! Just in time for our family vacation up to Bluefin Bay on the North Shore. I will have limited access to email and will not be able to edit or send out photos until late on Monday. This will also be my iPad’s first true test to see how it can handle being my only tool and source of communication for my business. Here’s hoping it holds up!

I am not booked through the end of June, with the exception of my mini-sessions on June 11th and June 24th. I have a very limited schedule in July due to my son’s birthday, the 4th of July weekend, a wedding, and being out of town twice. I do have my Beach Mini-Sessions on Friday, July 16th with a few openings. August seems to be pretty open at this point, but I’m sure within the next month it will start to fill up.

If you are planning on a Family Portrait Session, Senior Session, or a Milestone Session in either October, or November, I would recommend getting on my schedule within the next month or so. I plan on keeping my schedule open for mini-sessions for the most part. I did over 40 sessions in October & November last year and expect that I would exceed that number this fall. Therefore, I’m hoping to condense as many of those into mini-sessions as possible in order to keep my sanity.

Why Order Professional Prints?

Since I give the disc of images to my clients for both my Portrait Sessions and Weddings, I don’t fulfill too many print orders. I know that in this day and age, it is most desirable to have the images for computers, social networking sites, printing at home, and printing for cheap at Walgreens, Wal-mart, Target, etc. Well, I have for you some reasons why you should invest in prints through Live and Love Studios, at least for your very favorite images from your session or wedding:

The quality far exceeds Walgreens, Wal-mart, or Target prints. I know from experience the difference and it can be seen.
The prints are printed on professional quality paper that will withstand over time.
Your pictures are cropped correctly and touched up one final time prior to ordering.

That being said, if you absolutely cannot afford it or the difference in cost doesn’t make it worth your money to invest in professional quality prints, I highly recommend Shutterfly. They are a very good and cost efficient option for those looking to print on their own.

Updates & such…

Lots of updates!

First, to start with my mini-sessions. The mini-sessions coming up on May 15th are now full. The next time I am holding them is in the studio, the morning of June 11th. The next round of outdoor mini-sessions are on the evening of June 24th. I’m doing a special Beach-themed mini-session very early in the morning on Friday, July 16th. I’m still debating on where to hold the session, so I’m open for suggestions! You can always find the most up-to-date information on my mini-sessions by clicking the above link on my menu bar. Within the next month or so, I will be announcing August & September mini-session dates. I plan on holding quite a few rounds of mini-sessions in both September & October. In addition, I may have something special up my sleeve for a few of those mini-session dates.

Secondly, my Photo Mama workshop in June is already half-full, so if you have been putting off signing up, now is the time! It only costs $25 to reserve a spot, and you can pay quickly, easily, and safely via PayPal.

Thirdly, my weekends are pretty jam-packed this summer. Even though I have a lighter wedding load this year, with vacations, holidays, birthdays, and sessions, I only have a few open weekends left that I may or may not fill up with sessions. If you absolutely have to get your session in on a weekend, contact me ASAP to set something up, even if it is in July or August!

Finally, since my business mainly relies on referrals, I have been putting off some type of referral program. Well, I feel like it’s time to give back to my loyal clients. I still haven’t figured out exactly how the referral program is going to be structured, but I’m open to suggestions. If you want, you can comment on this post or you can simply shoot me an email with anything that would be important to you about a referral program.

I just wanted to post a few schedule updates for the next few months. I am booked on the weekends through June 12th. So, my next open weekend is the weekend of June 19th. I do have a few more openings for my May mini-sessions if you want to get in on a weekend. However, I do have openings during the week if that is an option for you. I can’t believe how quickly things fill up! If you know for sure that you want to schedule a session within the next 3-4 months, my recommendation is to get on the schedule now. I guess that’s it for now… have a good night!!
