Katherine & Kristina
Posted on November 26, 2007
Wow. I definitely needed a nice long break for the holiday! It’s amazing how appreciative you get of your free time when you haven’t had any in a while. So, by the time Saturday rolled around, I was fully rested and recharged to take Katherine & Kristina’s pictures. According to their mom, Mary, these girls were really excited about getting their pictures taken. They are fans of the show America’s Next Top Model, which I confess, I was a fan of too for a while! We had a little fun “striking a pose” for a few of the shots. These two girls are simply beautiful and very photogenic. It was my pleasure to take their portraits!

Jessica & Rob – Married on November 17th
Posted on November 21, 2007
Whew! Now that the wedding season is slowing down, I don’t have as many weddings. This is really nice, though, because I have the chance to recharge between weddings. That way, I’m fully refreshed and ready to go! I was all set for Jessica & Rob’s wedding this past Saturday held at the Great Hall in downtown St. Paul. Even though I had never professionally shot in this venue, I have been there many, many times, so I was still familiar with the set-up. I had such a pleasure working with Jessica & Rob again after shooting their engagement pictures this past August. It’s always great when the wedding party is equally as fun to work with. This was my first wedding after daylight savings time, so I had to deal with the early sunset and loss of light. Since I am not a fan of using my flash, it makes my job a bit trickier. Thankfully, the Great Hall has some great spots for pictures, in and outside.
Oh, and a Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! Try to keep your head above water on Friday

Coming down the infamous elevators into the Great Hal
Jessica looked absolutely beautiful!
I thought this would make a fun picture!
The boys… and uh, yeah… I’m a fan of the wide-angle shot
I love trying new and different things.
I’ve seen this at a few ceremonies in place of lighting a unity candle. The couple exchanges roses instead as their first gift to each other as husband & wife.
The first dance
I usually don’t post pictures from the father/daughter or mother/son dance, however these two are very cute!
Now, for the dancing shots

Congrats, Jessica & Rob!! I know you’ll enjoy your Hawaiian Cruise!!

Mike, Amanda, Jack, & Martin & their whole clan!
Posted on November 19, 2007
This blog is composed of a couple different photo sessions, however it is off the same family. The first session I did was on Friday for Mike & Amanda’s family pictures. I last met with Amanda, Jack, & Martin back in October when Martin was just a month old. Now, a month later, Mike was home, so we were able to get some family pictures for their Christmas cards. It’s amazing how much babies change in just a month! Martin was a completely different individual as you can see in the pictures below.
Then, on Sunday, Amanda’s mother’s family got together at her house for one big family portrait. It was composed of a great-grandmother, her two daughters and their families. I believe it was 19 people in all? Martin & Jack were the youngest of them all, but they were both great in front of the camera. It was just our luck that the sleet started to really come down when it was time to take the pictures. Of all of the days and times, it had to happen while we were going to take this big group picture! Thankfully, Amanda & Mike have a beautiful set-up at their front door with a nice overhang and their deck in the back-yard is big enough to hold the entire family underneath! So, even though it was a bit cold, we managed to stay rather dry. I’m very pleased with the results, too!
This is the hat his Grandma Janice made for him. It was a little small, but it still looked adorable on him!
I love this picture!
Still a cute picture, even though Jack is a little uncomfortable with Martin leaning up against him. Oh, and the pink flower is there, because Jack wouldn’t take the picture without it. Gotta love those darn kids!!!
We were trying to get a picture with Amanda & her two boys, but Jack wouldn’t cooperate. I captured this picture instead.
Now, here are the big family pictures!
