On vacation… finally!!

I will be on vacation officially tomorrow when I shut my computer down, leave my house, and board a plane to Florida for the week. I honestly never thought in a million years I would be this swamped up until the very end of this week scrambling to get all of my work done. Even now, I am working on finishing up my last wedding! However, after that is completed, I am done. :) I will have very limited access to email, since where we are staying does not have internet access, which is a good and bad thing. Good, because I won’t be tempted to check my emails, but bad, because there is always work that needs to be done when you are a photographer right before the holiday season. 
I will be back home on the 12th and will try to address any non-urgent questions/concerns then. Whoo hoo!!!

Little Logan

I got to meet Logan, Annie & Tony’s little boy, who’s maternity session I did a month or so ago. Logan came into the world in kind of a rough way, and after Annie told me her story, I was fuming! Apparently, she thought that her water had broken at 39 weeks, so she went in to have it checked. The nurse was skeptical about the fact that her water had broken (”If your water had broken, you would have known it”), did a quick, but not thorough exam, and then sent her on her way. Her water was broken, in fact, and she walked around like that for 2 more days!!! Finally, she wasn’t feeling good, so she went back into the hospital to have herself checked again, not to mention the fact that she wasn’t feeling Logan move around as much. They then discovered that her water was broken and got labor going right away. Logan was born with fluid in his lungs and a temperature, but he is completely fine now with no lasting effects. He could have easily died or had something more complicated happen to him because of that nurse’s ignorance!!! Well, at least things did turn out great, and Logan is a bright, happy, and beautiful little newborn. Congrats, Annie & Tony!

Roman & Isabelle… or “Sissy” :)

This family was delightful to work with! Roman couldn’t quite say, “sister” when Isabelle was younger, so he called her “Sissy”. Well, the name stuck and that’s what everyone calls her now! Adorable, if you ask me. You could tell that these two were close, even at this young of an age. A couple more posts, and then I’m nearly caught up!
