Announcing Mini Mini-Sessions!

Since my mini-sessions are booked for the rest of the year, I was trying to think of some other way for people to get their last minute holiday portraits in for the season without having to book a full session! Here is what I came up with. 
The morning of November 20th, I will be having Mini Mini-Sessions at my studio in Burnsville. These are just like my normal Mini-Sessions, however they will be cheaper and shorter. A time slot will cost $100 and include the following:
- 5-10 minutes of photographers time
- Only one background
- Three different poses: Entire family, only children, and each individual child
- 10 high-resolution photos on disc in color, black & white, and sepia
Here are the time slots! All of the following dates require a $25 retainer to hold your spot. Please mark in the notes/comments section which time slot you want. I will add more time slots if needed. Please email me at info@liveandlovestudios.com with any questions or concerns. Reservations will be taken on a first come, first serve basis!

Danielle and Andrew

It is always a pleasure when I get the chance to shoot a couple from my Alma mater! Danielle and Andrew are a wonderful duo who happened to both graduate from St Ben’s/St John’s, a lovely little oasis in St Joseph, Minnesota. It’s been said the school attracts a certain type of individual, and judging by these two lovebirds, I’d say that adage rings true. Danielle and Andrew were such a pleasure to work with, from the getting ready shots to the first dance I had nothing but an amazing time documenting their big day! Thanks guys!
This was Andrew’s expression upon seeing Danielle for the first time! Priceless!

Cutest Baby & Kid Contest!

This seems to be a local craze going around for photographers to gain exposure, so what the heck… I’ll get in the act!
How to enter:
- Be a parent, grandparent, or guardian of a cute baby or kid in one of the following categories:
- Submit a snapshot to cutestkid@liveandlovestudios.com that is not professionally taken that is a JPEG with at least the dimensions of 640X640. When submitting your photo, please include the following information:
- Submissions will be taken until Friday, August 6th @ 11:59 PM
~ Newborn to 12 months
~ 1 year to 3 years
~ 4 years to 10 years
~ Name and birthdate of the baby or child
~ Your first and last name and contact information
~ Your relationship with the child
Voting:
After I receive all submissions, I will create an album with photos of all the kids with their names and age category as the caption. Once the album is up, invite all of your family and friends to “vote” for your child!
In order to “vote”, they must first “Like” Live and Love Studios on Facebook. Then, they simply comment on the photo they wish to vote for with the word “vote”.
Voting will begin on Monday, August 9th and end Friday, August 13th @ 11:59 PM. Winners will be announced on Saturday, August 14th.
What do you win:
The one child from each category who has the most votes will win a free 60-Minute Milestone Session, which includes a disc of photos from your session…a $325 value! In addition, since I have them, the child with the most overall votes across all categories will win a pair of Minnesota Twins tickets to the September 21st game against the Cleveland Indians @ 7:10 PM. Finally, everyone who votes will be entered in a random drawing for a Free Family Photo Session! That session is transferable to someone who lives in the Twin City Area, especially since people out of the state will most likely be voting.
Whew! That’s a lot.
Rules:
1. Only one child from a household is allowed to be entered in the contest.
2. You may only place your vote once. You cannot vote on more than one photo. If you vote more than once, your vote will be removed from the final count.
3. Sessions are only valid from January 2011 through April 2011
