Steve, Brie, Cianna, and baby sister!

I had the pleasure of working with Cianna and her family last week. We thankfully had the session scheduled the day after the heat wave broke, but we were all freezing the night of the session, since we were expecting it to be much warmer than it was! At least you can’t tell how chilly it was from the photos. Cianna never even noticed how cold her mom and I were. 
She was so interested in everything around, especially the birds, turtles, and deer that we saw. It’s no wonder we saw such wildlife, since we were taking the photos at the Dodge Nature Center in Mendota Heights. It’s such a beautiful property, and I fully intend on utilizing it more for future shoots. Brie is expecting her 2nd girl at the beginning of August, so I can’t wait to meet her and work with her family again when she arrives!
At this point, Cianna was pretty much done with photos. This was her not cooperating with looking at the camera with her mom and dad.
We eventually did get her to cooperate.

Adam & Britani – Maternity

Two of our good friends are expecting their first baby on December 31st, and we couldn’t be happier for them. They have picked out the totally awesome name of Cora Louise, and we all can’t wait to meet her! I’m sure they are hoping for her to make her appearance prior to 2011. Ah, gotta love the tax break! With their luck, she’ll be born at 1:00 AM on January 1st.
Oh, and they also brought out their adorable little Chihuahuas, Lola and Napoleon, for a few family photos.
Uh yeah… the dogs weren’t cooperating.

Aleks – A Maternity Surprise :)

Let’s hope Aleks’ husband isn’t an avid reader of my blog! This photo shoot was a surprise for him as they welcome their first baby. I had the honor of working with Aleks & Jess last June for their wedding day. On that wonderful day in June, it rained, all day long. They were due to have an outdoor ceremony, however due to the rain, we had to squeeze everyone inside the St. Paul College Club. Now, they are 3 weeks away from welcoming their first child! Aleks told Jess that she was having dinner with a friend, but secretly she was taking these photos with me for Jess. For the second session in a row, the bugs were atrocious! They were so bad I had to edit them out of several of these photos! It was really funny going through the images seeing Aleks swatting at the bugs and slapping her legs in the different “outtake” frames. :) You can’t tell at all by how graceful she looked in these photos. They will knock Jess’ socks off!! I’m going to have the opportunity to photograph their new baby once he/she is born, so I’ll be seeing her, Jess, and their new baby very soon.
