Hello and welcome!!
My name is Jackie Boldt, and I am the owner of Live and Love Studios. I was definitely one of those people always with a camera in her hand. After having my senior pictures taken, I felt drawn to the profession and hoped one day I would own my own photography business & studio. It was always in the back of my mind, but life took over, with a regular day job and a marriage. That all changed when my son was born with a life-threatening birth defect. He is now perfectly healthy and normal, but the road to getting there was hard. It was during that time I realized the possibility of turning this dream into reality. 11 years and 4 kids later, my photography dream truly is a reality.
There are many photographers out there, like myself, who know how to work their camera, how to use the lighting, and how to compose a photo. What you will get with me is the true emotion and personality of your child, family, or relationship. I have an eye for quickly recognizing and capturing a “real” smile, not the one you get when your child says, “Cheeeeeeeeese!” (you know the one :)).
My focus is not on props or set-ups. It is simply on the subject.
A little more about me:
Hardly ever wear make-up, unless it’s a special occasion.
Would wear yoga pants every day, everywhere if it was socially acceptable.
Took piano lessons for nearly 10 years and won 2 state competitions. I haven’t played in years, and I don’t think I could read music any more!
Played basketball competitively in high school and college and even won a state championship in high school.
Received a double major in psychology and business from The College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph, Minnesota.
Run a photography blog for photographers called The Photographer’s Dream House.
Am a supertaster, so I don’t like coffee, dark chocolate, or veggies without some kind of dip or dressing.
I love taking pictures, but I mostly love to meet my clients, develop a relationship, and continue to work with them over the years. If my work has inspired you and my bio has connected with you, I would love to hear from you!
